Gilford High School is proud of its long-standing tradition of athletic excellence throughout the State of New Hampshire. This tradition is strengthened by the unwavering support of our community, the dedication of our coaches, and the outstanding commitment of our student-athletes.

We recognize the powerful role athletics play in uniting our towns and fostering a strong sense of community. My hope is that cheering on our teams continues to bring us together and build lasting connections.

While our teams and coaches strive for success and set goals to win, our broader mission goes beyond short-term achievements. Athletics at Gilford High School are education-based, with the greater purpose of developing lifelong character traits in our student-athletes.

Participation in sports provides meaningful opportunities for young people to grow in areas such as creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. It also cultivates essential life skills like perseverance, initiative, and leadership.

As a community, I hope we will lead by example when it comes to sportsmanship. Each of us plays a vital role in modeling respect—for our opponents, coaches, officials, fans, and athletes alike.
